ABOUT QUALITY TOOL AND STAMPING:
Quality Tool and Stamping (QTS) with sales exceeding $20 million is a privately
owned, family run company located for almost fifty years in Muskegon Heights, MI.
QTS has approximately 178,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with over 100
employees. The company was ISO 9001:2000 certified in 2000. QTS’s niche is prototype
work, laser cutting and low to medium volume production stampings. All tooling is
done in house which keeps costs highly competitive and enables the company to respond
rapidly to design changes. Significant amounts of steel inventory are maintained
which allows QTS to be extremely flexible with changing shipping demands. Welding,
CNC machining and EDM capabilities are available as well.
QTS HISTORY
Quality Tool and Stamping was founded in 1957 as a tool and die shop. Over time,
the founder, Frank Kuznar, acquired stamping presses to try out the dies he was
building. With these new capabilities, the company gradually began running production
parts for its customers.
Frank’s two sons, Ed and Dan Kuznar, joined the company in the 1960’s and today
actively direct QTS’ day-to-day operations. Several key leadership roles are now
held by third generation family members. Nearly 50 years after its founding, QTS
has more than 100 employees and manufactures top-quality metal parts for over one
hundred companies located throughout the US.
