LASER CUTTING
Laser cutting is a fast, economical way to produce short-run, complex metal parts
and is often a cost –effective alternative to machining.
In March of 2006 QTS purchased a Bystronic Byspeed Laser, Model 3015. This state
of the art laser combines with four existing Mazak lasers to cut aluminum, stainless
steel and mild steel of various thicknesses. The laser department can cut preformed
3D shapes, precision cut pipe, tube and structural steel and bevel-cut flat pate.
Laser capability gives QTS the ability to cut highly intricate patterns and shapes.
Each part is programmed by computer so no tooling is needed.
